Theo's "Get NetwiZe" guide to cyberland
1. Yes, you have to use your hands (but not for long, looking at futuristic movies)
2. You must have a pseudonym that helps represent your personality when communicating with other virtual bodies. When choosing/creating/appropriating a textual name, remember that you are not limited to the archaic western alphabet. You can write/code anything using the modern keyboard. Numbers, punctuation, letters, Asian Characters (the reader must have a decoding plug-in or they will feel alienated...which is often a desired result) and even symbols can create a name that you'll be proud to call your "nick"
3. You can shoot people and you wont get put in jail.
4. Da powa of e.comm is bout info compresion. feel fre 2 typ stuf da way u wan. If ur worryd bout bad axent, jus ref it.
5. Avoid the use of sarcasm!!! You must try and prase any info in a form that can be read from different perspectives. What you say/write is not about your ideas, but about how they read it and react to it (see Avi's Stabbing story). And when in cyberspace, never ever say "That little 3 year old boy is cute".
6. Use emoticons to express your emotions with icons. (:p)
7. Anacronyms are a quick means of communicating. Here's a quick list of just a few LOL, BRB, ROGLMAF, etc...
8. Do whatever you want (or as much as tech limits us anywaze) but just remember, everything you post/write is technically being published...therefore making you responsible to litigation
9. Text ain't the only way to have ya say
