i'm a free writer. Free of close-minded political thought, free of ink and free of uni. My uni life, while prolonged and somewhat useless was fun, exciting and a little riot-chious. Having been to many (but not as many as Hammy) demonstrations and rallies, i'm unfortunately left with a feeling of utter uselessness(mess). None, i repeat none of the issues i protested either stopped, derailed or even set to fire. The corporate cog spun unabated. The capitalist cu nts kept doing what they felt was right(wing). Even if it meant that i had to pay my way now rather than later, or that scared innocence was imprisioned on tropical islands that i pay to travel to.
However these violent outbursts, right or wrong, are not really about winning or losing the fight. Hell, it's not as though anything is going to change. These battlegrounds are there to harden our motivated youth into proactive political ideals. Little vocal mines that try to de-leg the suit soldiers but only really paintball them. They cover them in red paint and maybe, if they're unlucky, clip an eye. So naturally Mother Media gets all worried and totally freaks out at the apparent violence. We all know the story. The naught A.D.D. kid that was always protesting grows up to either be a bum or head of the Labour party. or gets with Jesse's mum>
