The Fairfaxis of Evil has given TSSH a shout out today in the technology section in both The Age and its poor cousin The Sydney Morning Herald. (Do you like my new-found parochialism? Not that you’d ever have caught me sticking up for The Canberra Times when I lived there.)

The reviewer, Dewi Cooke has awarded us the suspect title of “Blog of the week” and says:

“Witty, cynical and a little cruel, The Spin Starts Here is one of those blogs you love to hate. Moderated by a group of self-professed bitches, the blog is Melbourne-based with a pool of contributors from around the country. There's Caz, the site's owner and founder. She is an ex-journalist turned spin doctor whose caustic commentary of everything, from reality television to politics and the media dances a fine line between hearty belly laughs and cringe-worthy entertainment. A warning for the uninitiated: The Spin Starts Here is often foul-mouthed and mildly offensive, but its round-the-clock coverage of pop culture and entertainment is second to none.”

“One of those blogs you love to hate”eh? Well if you mofos love to hate us so much, whats with the very infrequent and very low quality hate mail that we get? The UK’s Green Fairy gets a stack of hate mail every week – much more articulate than the 13 year olds in the comments we get here - and I’m jealous.

If anyone from the Fairfaxis of Evil’s senior management is reading this, please let TSSH have its own weekly column – preferably on a Saturday – so we can out-Emma-Tom Emma Tom. Between us we can cobble together YEARS worth of opinion pieces on tampons, lipstick and the Yellow Pages. And don’t try that tired argument that you want “quality” opinion pieces. Paddy McGuiness has been getting a free ride for years.
