Ok Kids, thinking caps on.

(slight pause while people adjust their thinking caps.)

There has been some talk around the station. This talk as largely consisted of "Hey Spencer St Guys, you've got a reasonable sized garden. Why don't you start a community garden."

The response was resounding: Let's wait until Spring!

So, come Spring, there'll be a working bee (or two) where you get to come over and plant stuff that will become food. Organic goodies for your pot/fry pan/oven/campfire.

We're going on the old Anarchist principle of 'give what you can, take what you need.'

So we need people to start thinking about what we could plant and when we should plant it. I'd like to explore the possibility of some native foods we could use in cooking. Next time you're at CERES please be sure to inquire.

Planning sessions will be held in the coming months for those interested.

The other thing we need is compost. Spencer St now have a compost bin that we need to fill. If you live in the area and don't have a compost bin just fill up a bucket and drop it past at your leisure (if no one is home then just go round the back and pop it in the compost bin). Now I know what you're thinking. "I'd love to contribute to your compost but I'm in Canada/Europe/whatever." Two words. Fed Ex.

May your fruits be delicious.
